There are only three sources from which we receive influence. Culture (society) is correct in identifying that our thoughts are influenced by all that we consume through our five senses. However, the Bible confirms there are only two other entities that can influence the thoughts that govern our lives: God and Satan. The diagram below represents a visual depiction of this reality. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
“I’m not formally trained in any denomination of the church, I haven’t attended seminary, and I don’t have a master’s degree or doctorate in theology. I’ve just been consistent in reading my Bible, attending church on Sundays, and regularly enjoying Christian literature for three decades.”
Growing up in the Catholic Church, Jeff never gained any spiritual insight or depth of conviction about his faith, and by age 14, he had fallen away from the church and spent the next 20 years as a self-professed agnostic. By the grace of God, Jeff was introduced to the Gospel message and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior when he was 34 years old.
