What is Spirit of Influence all about?

There is a universal law that has affected humankind since the beginning of time.
It is the law of influence. Throughout the ages, many have referenced its significance in written form, lectures, or self-help training material. Most of what has been offered or suggested revolves around worldly or temporal influence – that which originates from our surroundings, our family, our associations, or the media we choose to follow. All of which we receive through our five senses.
In today’s culture (locally, nationally, and internationally) there is an amplified emphasis on
the topic and importance of influence. Many claim the title “influencer” whether that be through sports, politics, culture, or religion. Many others boast of the person or persons they choose to follow for influence in their lives. And there are many who long to claim the title by any means of pointless dribble on social media.
However, it is only in God’s Word, the holy Bible, that we discover where the law of influence originates and how it manifests into every good or evil we observe in this world. This website exists to reveal the spiritual realm of influence that most of humanity fails to identify in their personal lives or collectively in local, regional, or world events.
So, I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with
me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work
in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the
law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me
from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me
through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself, in my mind am a slave to
God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. (Romans 7:21-25)

The Truth You've Never Been Taught About Influence

What the Bible teaches is that there are only three things that can influence your thought process, and as a result, the trajectory and outcome of your life. Simply stated, those three sources of influence are God, Satan, and your five senses. In addition to the worldly influence that you allow to direct your actions and develop your character, there is a spiritual battle taking place for your mind, your soul, your life, and your eternal destiny.
It matters not if you are a person of faith or a non-believer. If you are a member of the human race, then you are involved in spiritual warfare.
This truth became apparent to me several years after accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and struggling in my journey to become what I had professed to be as a new Christian. The subject so captured my attention that I spent a decade studying the Bible and Christian literature to research and understand this spiritual battle. Knowing that I did not have all the answers, God still led me to write a book on the subject. Five years later, the book, ‘Take Captive Every Thought’ was published.
I believe it is a resource that will benefit believers and non-believers alike. However, this is not my attempt to become an “influencer.” Take Captive Every Thought was written to draw your attention to the REAL influencers behind the events in your life and the world around you. More directly, it was written to expose the enemy of all humanity, Satan, who Scripture refers to as ‘the evil one’ and whose only intent is to steal, kill, and destroy that which God created – you! (John 10:10).
The Truth You've Never Been Taught About the Bible
The Bible is a compilation of exciting history, intense stories, and marvelous truth - all woven around one eternal conflict: GOOD VS. EVIL. As Christians, we are often well trained in God's righteousness (the good); however, our enlistment in God’s army places us at enmity with an unseen but very real adversary, Satan (the source of all evil). In the Bible, 1 John 3:8 tells us: “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work”, yet very few Christians know how Satan attacks, how to engage the enemy in battle, or how to ultimately win the war. Built on the foundation of 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, this spiritual warfare study offers a clear biblical path to living a VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN LIFESTYLE.
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to
demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up
against the knowledge of God, and we TAKE CAPTIVE EVERY THOUGHT to make it
obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5) (NIV)
